If we want more black activists to join the movement, we need to be able to post bail for them. We have to convince them that we have their backs.

Idea

Intentionally seek to reverse the past wrongs by XR by providing relief to people who end up incarcerated during protests.

Execution

  • Get out of jail free membership card is provided for Black and Brown activists who join the movement

  • Extinction Rebellion establishes a Million Dollar Fund specifically devoted to posting bail for Black and Brown Activists

  • Extinction rebellion uses donations to appoint lawyers for court appearances and fights for the Issuing of summons instead of arrests
